A come back

Back from an unexpected hiatus. Hey everybody! *waves*

Things just went completely hectic because of school–I wasn’t sleeping and eating well hence, getting really sleepy and hungry at work. @@ Two more weeks to go and the only thing that’s gonna stop me from blogging is, well of course, my laziness. Hehehe. I have 1 more draft to submit before the final paper presentation in my Academic Writing class and a take home exam in my Nursing Psychiatry class, and Alhamdulillah, it is hello summer! Well, not really an entire fun-just-lazily-bumming-around summer because I have work, but I know happy things are bound to happen this summer.

Anyway, I have been asked by our head nurse to switch teams, and to be honest, I am having MORE fun with my current SICU team, though, I surely miss my previous team. :(( *sigh* Two days ago, after all the charting and bed side care, one of my co-nurses, Sir Eudel, decided to read our palms. Of course, I didn’t want anything to do with that because I don’t believe in such. But because I heard everyone’s destiny and all that shizz, they all agreed it would be totally unfair if they didn’t get to hear mine. It was interesting what he saw.. but only Allah SWT knows what’s in store for us. ♥

Well, time to blog hop! :))

Farewell, Baby Aiyanna

Last night, I planned to sleep early because I have to wake up at 5am today to get ready for my morning shift. But I can’t sleep. :s Around 11, I checked my Facebook, and this came up my news feed:

A beautiful angel was born on October 17, 2011. She was named Aiyanna, which means eternal blossom. Sweetheart, know that you will be eternally remain in our hearts. Today, God must need you in heaven to look over us. The short time you spent with us were the happiest times. Sending you all our love. iHelpAiyanna

At first, I can’t figure out what it means so I read the update over and over again just for the news to sink in. At 10 o’clock last night, Baby Aiyanna joined our mighty Creator in heaven where it’s happier, safer and pain-free.

To darling Aiyanna, little angel, I may never know you personally, but I will forever be inspired by the strength you have showed. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ) “Surely we belong to God and to Him shall we return.”

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down

Must not get all white get up dirtyyy. :s

Currently on graveyard shift and last night, the rain kept pouring. @@ Felt lazy to go to work because of the precious double off weekend I had. It has been a long time since I spent 2 consecutive days at home and I was still on an ultimate high, add the pitter patter of the rain that seems to sing me a lullaby.. Good thing, and in all honesty, I missed working.

I ♥ my job soooo much!

How was your weekend, guys?

SICU Nurse is Sick

Feverish for 3 days now, no other symptoms observed. @@ So, I religiously took my anti-pyretic medication and started my daily dose of vitamin C. This is not work-related but *drum rolls* school-related. :s I am so stressed by school lately.. I can’t even. Ugh! I am so glad that during my busiest at school, SICU had only 1 patient.

Just giving you a little tour of my workplace. We were down to only 1 patient which is very rare and hence, the photos. :)

Finishing up my master’s requirements after feeding and medicating my patient.

I hope I get better soon. Let’s all be healthyyyy!

Fresh set of volunteers~

It was exciting to finally have nurse volunteers in our shift! *smiles* What I love about “fresh” nurse volunteers is their energy and their excitement.. Atat mag-work, at nahawa naman ako. And last night, was one of my busiest duty ever. @@ TOXIC! We had a couple of admissions; and then one of my patients needed CPR and because of the 2 newbies, we were able to revive the patient!

Lighter work was delegated to the newbies. I put them in-charge of the hourly vital signs and intake&output monitoring.. and I realized, now that they’re doing that, it means a bigger responsibility for me. o____o Anyway, since last night was stressful, I am loving my off day today. :) And, and , and.. my first time to play TETRIS BATTLE at Facebook! XD

Oh well, that’s it for today! :)

P.S. Remember Baby Aiyanna? Please whisper a little prayer for her. She just gone thru cardiac angiongram, and this recent update from her FB page:

hi guys, Aiyanna has been transferred to her room at this time .Thank you for all your prayers. It was however found that there is an increased level of hemoglobin and she is recommended for immediate heart operation to prevent further complications. The doctors shall discuss to the family the next steps to take and we shall keep an updated post. The current cash on hand raised from all the fundraisings is not enough to pay for all the expenses she needs. They are short of 300K to cover for the cost of the surgery. If by chance, you know anyone with a good heart to help this family save Aiyanna’s life, please contact Ruby at 09168281820 if in Manila, Marjorie at 09165391235 if in Davao or Shemar at 09178782573 if in Zamboanga. Please share to people that can help in this hour of desperate need to save a sweet child’s heart. We are racing against time to raise this amount. If anyone can lend, our family shall have it returned soonest. thanks

If I had this huge amount of wealth, I’d give it all to her. Guys, please, if you know anyone.. For the mean time, let us all pray for Aiyanna.

Empty words, empty thoughts

Call me the “walking dead.” This week has been boring with the exception of Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago who has been blabbering non-stop. Impeachment trial, it’s more fun in the Philippines! XD

Anyway.. on a totally unrelated post.. Do you know JAMICH? Well if you don’t, watch the video below. I think they’re an adorable couple. ♥
